We absolutely love going to Edd’s. My husband’s favorite is the birdy with bacon and between me and my kids we’ve tried a bunch of other options and never had a bad meal! Getting biscuits to go is a must. Liz is an incredible chef and business owner and we are very lucky to have such a gem close to us on the shoreline. With summer coming definitely make a point to go and have a great meal by the water.

Came to this cozy spot after our wedding. The food was so fresh and the outdoor seating was so warm and cozy.

Beautiful fast friendly service! Got the foot long hotdog with the works and everything was great and portioned adequately. Food was delivered with a smile carried through the cold rain/hail coming down. First time coming and more times to come for sure!

View fantastic. There is heated outdoor seating. The service is wonderful. There are prepared meals to go! Everything in the display case for baked goodies tastes as good as it looks - which IMO has been good the few times I’ve gone in so far. Breakfast was great here but today I got a sandwich called “The side chick”. It is so good. The chicken is freshly fried up! The Cole slaw is super fresh and I ate a bunch before I took my picture. I love the atmosphere here! They had a Queen record playing today on this snowy blustery winter day and they had a ton of options for Valentine’s Day. Don’t let their size fool you, get on down to Ed’s and get you a side chick!!

Intimate, scenic spot on the CT shoreline that is definitely more than meets the eye. Came for the “hot dogs” sign (which you should absolutely order) and stayed for the clam chowder (stunningly good and best I’ve had in recent memory), fried chicken sandwich and strawberries and biscuits. It is seemingly simple food done perfectly from a small punk rock-ish kitchen with the kindest staff you could imagine. Can’t recommend this place highly enough and it has become a regular gathering spot for all my friends and I.

Ed’s Place in Westbrook, Connecticut, is an absolute gem. On a cold, rainy day, it was the perfect cozy spot with a beautiful view of the water and the comforting smell of homemade food filling the air. I had a homemade biscuit with a house-made sausage patty, eggs, and cheese, along with a fresh cup of local coffee that tasted like it was brewed with real care. My best friend ordered the oatmeal topped with fresh strawberries, walnuts, and honey, and everything was fresh and delicious. I also treated myself to a blueberry scone, and couldn’t resist bringing home one of their homemade Hostess cupcakes for my significant other. Everything was flavorful, homemade, and served with a welcoming, small-town charm. I highly recommend Ed’s Place — it’s a true local treasure. (Took photos after taking bites! Couldn’t help myself!)

Edd’s never fails to satisfy! Liz makes some of the best biscuits and fried chicken I’ve ever had. Oh, and did I mention the grits?? A must-visit for breakfast and lunch. And make sure to check out the special dinners. We spent Valentine’s Day with Liz and she served an amazing handmade meal with a personal touch. Can’t recommend it enough!

Totally surprised by this place! The CT lobster roll was great. I was impressed by the number of items on the menu (lots of great breakfast, brunch/lunch and dinner options). It’s very causal and low key, and the outdoor seating area has a shockingly beautiful view of the river. It’s BYOB also!
